My approach

My approach is to bring kindness and understanding to our experience, allowing release from difficulties and supporting growth.

As a Gestalt therapist, I invite us into a deeper connection with our present-moment experience. Through the supportive therapeutic relationship, we can begin to explore ourselves in new ways, becoming less burdened by unhelpful thoughts, patterns, and strategies that may be holding us back. This process can open the door to a more engaged, fulfilling life.

The setting

Sessions take place either indoors or in the open natural outdoor environment around Hebden Bridge to suit preferences or the weather. I also offer sessions online.

Issues and areas of difficulty I support

I offer support with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including trauma, identity struggles, relationship issues, anxiety, aggression, and depression. I also have a have specialist understanding of difficulties that arise through parenting.  I work with people experiencing general emotional distress — whether it's a vague sense that something feels off or more intense feelings of hopelessness and helplessness.

Insight Training

In addition to therapy, I offer guidance in the nuanced process of emotionally integrating insights, deepening contemplative practice, and expanding awareness — paving the way to deepen realization. My approach is rooted in the non-dual wisdom traditions of Dzogchen, Mahamudra, and Zen, with a focus on direct pointing and the transformative path known as fetters work.

Cost

I’m committed to keeping sessions accessible, so I offer a sliding scale between £25 and £50—you're welcome to choose the amount that feels right and affordable for you. I also offer a free initial consultation, giving you a chance to see whether my approach resonates with you.
